I have started a new challenge for myself. For the month of May, I will be using this word prompt as my guide.

Dreamscape

Against her better judgment, she allows Maverick into her apartment.

It’s probably because of her sleep-deprived brain.

They sat together at her kitchen table, sipping on the coffee, not saying a word.

Sydney looks to Maverick and sees he too had a sleepless night.

Why are they doing this to themselves?

What’s the point in all of this?

“So your choice…”

“What about it?”

“Are you sure?

“Yeah…I think so.”

“Where do we go from here?”

“I don’t know Mavs.”

“It’s my fault.”

“No, it’s mine too.”

“That’s a first.”

“I think we are just too broken.”

It’s time for Sydney to get dressed for work so she sees Maverick out of her apartment.

Unknown to Maverick, it will be the last time he will see Sydney.

Sydney can’t hold on to this part of her life anymore, he isn’t good for her.
